What ever happened to the SETI project? The Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence? SETI was designed by important thinkers to help discover and make contact with intelligent life from other worlds. Government funding for the project ended some time ago when Senate and House Republicans categorically stated that all the intelligent life that mattered was within a stone’s throw of the capitol building.
